Comments:
(1) Many of the associated merchants have attached keywords to items
that are outside the definitions of the keywords and/or their usual
and customary usage. The result is that many of the results pages
will include items outside the interest of the searcher. To
compensate for this overinclusiveness, the searcher may reorder the
items of the results pages by price (by using a drop-down menu at
the top of the first results page), from highest to lowest price or
lowest to highest price. Often, this will rather cluster similar
items, although there may be two or more clusters of interest to the
searcher. (2) The terms of gender - men's, women's, and ladies' -
are generally omitted from the search phrases of this directory for
two reasons. Firstly, the associated merchant often omits these
terms as keywords; consequently, including them in search phrases
would eliminate many items of interest to the searcher. Secondly, a
number of items are "unisexual." (3) Icons have been chosen, to the
extent possible, (a) to show a brand's variety and (b) to highlight
the distinctive features offered by the brand. |
