2004-2006 Chrysler Pacifica SUVs, (10) 2004-2005 Toyota Sienna Minivans, (11)
2004-2006 Dodge Durango SUVs and 2005-2006 Dodge Dakota Pickups, and (12)
2005-2006 Dodge Caravan, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town and Country

Some year-to-date U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration safety
investigations include:
(1) 411,779 2000-2001 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable cars for a
braking rear spring. There have been 747 complaints reported to
NHTSA.
(2) 457,000 2000-2003 Saturn sedans for engine part failure
resulting in stalling. The number of complaints reported to NHTSA
was not provided.
(3) 100,000 2000-2001 Honda Odyssey minivans for spring failure.
There have been 7 complaints reported to NHTSA.
(4) 16,000 2001-2003 Dodge Durango sport utility vehicles for
fires under the driver's seat. There have been 5 complaints reported
to NHTSA, with 3 stating that the fire occurred after the vehicle
had been parked and the ignition switch - turned off.
(5) 217,000 2004-2005 Chrysler Pacifica sport utility vehicles
for puncturing of the fuel tank. There have been 18 complaints
reported to NHTSA and 120 field reports received by the Chrysler
Group of DaimlerChrysler AG.
(6) 2003 Nissan Altima cars for engine sensor problems that may
cause the vehicle to stall or fail to start. There have been 29
complaints reported to NHTSA. The subjects of this investigation are
those Altimas not recalled in 2003.
(7) 1998-2004 Audi A6 sedans for fires in the driver's side of
the dashboard. There have been 6 complaints reported to NHTSA. These
vehicles were recalled in 2004 and NHTSA will review the adequacy of
the repairs made.
(8) 700,000 1999-2001 Ford Super Duty trucks for engine stalling.
There have been 31 complaints reported to NHTSA.
(9) 2004-2006 Chrysler Pacifica sport utility vehicles for engine
stalling. There have been 60 complaints reported to NHTSA.
(10) 2004-2005 Toyota Sienna minivans for failure of warning
light to warn of low tire pressure. There have been 12 complaints
reported to NHTSA.
(11) 358,455 2004-2006 Dodge Durango sport utility vehicles and
2005-2006 Dodge Dakota pickup trucks for loose bolts on the steering
wheel and shaft. The number of complaints reported to NHTSA were not
reported.
In addition, NHTSA is upgrading to "engineering analysis" an
investigation into:
(12) 805,000 2005-2006 Dodge Caravan, Dodge Grand Caravan, and
Chrysler Town and Country minivans for failure of airbag sensors.
The cumulative number of complaints reported to NHTSA was not
provided.
