GM Expands Recall Lead Over Ford: 300,000 2003-2004 General Motors SUVs to Be Recalled

In the U.S., General Motors Corporation is recalling 286,478 2003-2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender, and Oldsmobile Bravada and 2004 Buick Ranier sport utility vehicles for a directional signal defect that may cause all signal lights to flash when the lever arm is pushed up or down. Elsewhere, mainly in Canada and Mexico, 19,195 of these models will be recalled.
On outstanding investigations, GM remains mum about the 3.1 million pickup trucks under upgraded investigation for collapsing tailgates and the 1.3 million pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles under investigation for a corroding brake sensor.
