2005 Ford Ranger and Mazda B-Series Pickup Trucks Score Worst on NHTSA Rollover Tests

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave both the 2005 2-door Ford Ranger, regular and extended cab, and its corporate twin, the 2005 Mazda B-Series, 2-door and extended cab, a rollover-potential score of only 2 for the 4-wheel drive versions and only 3 for the 2-wheel drive versions. These were the worst scores awarded by NHTSA; all other versions of pickup models tested received a rollover-potential score of 4. The other 2005 pickup truck versions and models tested were the 2-door and 4-door, 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Dakota, Dodge RAM 1500, Ford F-150, GMC Canyon, and GMC Sierra.
