Nissan Maxima Places Second among Family Car Models per the 1995-1999 Reliability Percentrank Average
The top two family cars by the 5-year Reliability Percentrank average have, in recent history, been the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord. However, by the 1995-1999 Reliability Percentrank average, the Honda Accord occupies the top spot with a Reliability Percentrank average of .90, the Nissan Maxima is second with an average of .88, and the Toyota Camry is number 3 with an average of .86. The Subaru Legacy/Outback is fourth with an average of .81.
At the other end, General Motors' family car offerings dominate. The bottom five family car models are GM's Pontiac Grand Am with a 1995-1999 Reliability Percentrank average of .08, Chrysler's Dodge Intrepid with an average of .10, GM's Oldsmobile Alero with an average of .11, GM's Oldsmobile Cutlass with an average of .14, and GM's Chevrolet Malibu with an average of .16
