Hyundai Accent Makes a Top Ten List; GM Is Left Out in the Cold
A J. D. Powers' survey suggests that General Motors vehicles hold together not too badly for the first 90 days of new car ownership, but when it comes to owner satisfaction over a number of years, they seem to be wanting a bit. In fact, not a one was in the Canadian Automobile Association's "Top Ten Vehicles" by vehicle ownership satisfaction, per the results of its 2001 Vehicle Ownership Survey - a survey conducted among its members. However, the Hyundai Accent, for model years 1995-1999, was number eight. First was the Toyota Corolla for model years 1993-1997, second was the Honda CR-V for model years 1997-2001, and third was the Toyota Tercel for model years 1996-1999. The Toyota Camry held three spots in the top ten - fourth for model years 1997-2001, fifth for model years 1992-1996, and ninth for model years 1988-1991. The top ten spots were distributed thusly among auto manufacturers:
